Combining the natural texture of wood with the resilience of plastic, our WPC decking is designed to last for a remarkable 25-30 years with proper installation and maintenance.
Required Materials & Tools:
- Composite Decking Board
- Composite Decking Joists
- Hidden Fasteners: Composite Decking Starter Clips, Composite Decking Clips, Composite Decking Screws, Expansion Screw
- Edge Boards: Composite Decking Edge Trim
- Rubber Hammer
- Drill
Installation Steps:
Step 1: Fixing Joists
- Determine the spacing between the two joists based on your decking type: 30cm for square hollow decking, 35cm for round hollow decking, and 40cm for solid decking.
- Drill joists and secure them with expansion screws.
Step 2: Installing WPC Decking
- When installing composite decking panels, maintain a 3cm distance from the building.
- Start your installation by placing the first deck board.
- Connect the two boards using plastic T clips and screws. Ensure the hole diameter is less than 3/4 of the screw diameter for enhanced grip. These clips and screws not only secure the boards but also maintain proper spacing to prevent sliding. Use a rubber hammer to gently tap the boards during installation for equal gaps and a visually pleasing surface.
- Repeat the process until the last board. The final step involves setting the edge boards on the decking and securing them with screws, completing the installation.
